Warp drives and futuristic weapons: Pentagon releases new UFO research files

The Pentagon has released the sixth batch of declassified documents concerning unidentified anomalous phenomena. The archive includes files covering secret military programs, the development of futuristic technologies, and cases in which civilians were injured after encounters with unknown objects, according to a press release from the US Department of War.
What does the Pentagon’s new archive contain?
The released batch includes 67 materials from the U.S. Department of Defense and four documents from local police in the state of Colorado.
In total, 55 PDF documents, 15 videos, and one audio file covering the period from 1952 to 2025 have been released. Most of the files contain partial removals and redactions.
The materials from the secret AAWSAP military initiative are of particular interest. The US Defense Intelligence Agency launched the program in 2008 to assess potential aerospace threats through 2050.
The program studied theoretical concepts including:
- warp drives and space-time distortion;
- wormholes and antigravity systems;
- negative-mass engines and stealth technologies.
The US Department of Defense clarified that the published files should be considered general analytical reviews, not confirmation that the military possesses the technologies in question.
Injuries and radiation exposure from anomalous objects
Among the documents, researchers found a 38-page technical study from 2010 devoted to analyzing injuries suffered by people who observed anomalous aerospace systems.
The report describes in detail a case involving three antenna systems engineers who were exposed to an unknown source.
After contact with the anomalous object, the specialists were found to have suffered skin burns, hair loss, and symptoms of radiation sickness. In the following years, one of those affected developed signs of malignant tumors.
The report’s author compared these findings with 300 similar cases of radiofrequency injuries and hypothesized about the “possible use by one of the potential adversaries of unknown deployed systems.”

Declassified videos and lifting restrictions
The released videos include footage recorded by the military in the Middle East. One of them shows about six spherical objects measuring 1–2 meters in diameter, moving at speeds of 80 to 180 miles per hour and maneuvering in the air.
The archive also contains a 1952 audio recording of Project Blue Book director Edward Ruppelt, in which he confirmed that about 20 percent of the 800 UFO cases studied had no scientific explanation.
In addition, the Pentagon announced the introduction of a legal mechanism allowing current and former employees to provide the government with confidential information about anomalous phenomena without facing prosecution for violating nondisclosure agreements.
