US to continue strengthening Ukraine's air defense following Russian strike on Poltava
The United States will continue to strengthen Ukraine's air defense. This will happen “in the coming weeks”, stated White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby.
Kirby also expressed his condolences to Ukrainians after the massive Russian attack on Poltava.
According to Kirby, the attack was "another horrific reminder of Putin's brutality towards the people in Ukraine," as he tries to punish them for his own invasion of Ukraine by attacking critical infrastructure and making their lives and livelihoods more difficult.
According to him, US President Joe Biden made it clear that the US support for Ukraine remains unwavering and the US will continue to focus on strengthening the Ukrainian army and air defense against such attacks.
