US scrambles F-16: fighter jet intercepts aircraft near Trump's golf club

On Saturday, a US Air Force F-16 fighter jet intercepted a small aircraft that violated the airspace over President Donald Trump’s golf club, according to Reuters.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:39 PM local time in Bedminster, New Jersey. It marked the fifth unauthorized intrusion into restricted airspace that day.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirmed that an F-16 was scrambled in response.
According to reports, the NORAD jet performed a head-on intercept maneuver to get the attention of the civilian aircraft's pilot. The intruding aircraft was then safely escorted out of the restricted zone.
The White House has not yet commented on the incident. In recent weeks, NORAD has recorded several similar violations and is urging private pilots to thoroughly review all flight advisories before flying in the area.
Attempts on Trump's life
Current US President Donald Trump survived at least two assassination attempts in 2024. The first occurred during a campaign rally, when he was shot in the ear.
The second incident took place while Trump was on a golf course. However, the suspect did not open fire, and the situation ended without harm to the president.
