US launches air strikes on ISIS camps in Syria
US military aircraft attacked several targets of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group in Syria. The operation was aimed at preventing extremists from carrying out attacks in the region and beyond, according to the US Central Command (CENTCOM) and ABC News.
The US military said such airstrikes were carried out on Friday, October 11.
At the same time, the Central Command did not specify which parts of Syria were home to the ISIS camps that were targeted.
Also, the US Armed Forces claim that as a result of this operation, the militants' ability to plan, organize, and conduct attacks on the United States, its allies and partners, as well as civilians throughout the region and beyond was disrupted.
The Central Command added that the damage caused by the fighting is still being assessed, and there have been no civilian casualties.

Countering Islamic State militants in Middle East
About 900 US troops have been deployed in eastern Syria, along with the US-backed and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, which have played an important role in the fight against the Islamic State militants.
Despite the defeat of the terrorists, the sleeper cells of ISIS are still organizing attacks in Iraq and Syria, and the number of such attacks has been increasing in recent years.
In July, the US Central Intelligence Agency stated that the Islamic State terrorist organization (ISIS) is trying to double the number of attacks and attacks and to recover from its conditional lull in the Middle East.
In late August, the US Central Command announced that the US military and Iraqi security forces had conducted a raid in western Iraq. And then 15 ISIS militants were killed as a result of the operation.
