US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has shown footage of the deportation of Ukrainian citizens. Border guards report that no mass returns of Ukrainians have been recorded, ICE stated.

"Here are photos of Ukrainian aliens' first moments back home following their removal from the United States," the statement said.

State Border Guard Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko told Suspilne that border guards have not recorded mass returns of Ukrainians from the US.

"I cannot provide any statistics on how many of our citizens were expelled and returned from other countries by migration authorities for offenses," the spokesman said.

As Demchenko explained, other countries may deport foreigners both for violations of migration laws and for other offenses.

At the same time, the deporting country may accompany migrants to their countries of origin. ICE published photos of Ukrainians being deported at the border with Ukraine at an unspecified location.

"Moreover, informing the authorized bodies of the country of origin of such citizens in such cases is not always mandatory. This applies, for example, to situations when persons hold national passport documents that allow them to cross state borders," the spokesman explained.

Deportations from the US

After returning to the White House, US President Donald Trump launched a campaign of migrant deportations. At the end of February and beginning of March, protests took place against Trump and US Vice President JD Vance.

In early June, mass protests broke out in Los Angeles after immigration authorities detained at least 118 illegal migrants in the city.

Trump ordered the National Guard to be sent to Los Angeles to suppress the unrest. These forces were under the control of the state of California, which led to a conflict between Trump and the governor.
