Iran's reaction
The Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters stated that the US military violated the ceasefire by attacking an Iranian oil tanker near Jask and another vessel near the Emirati port of Fujairah. Also, according to the headquarters, with the assistance of some regional countries, airstrikes were carried out on civilian coastal areas — Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island.
In response, the Iranian armed forces, according to their statement, attacked US military vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of the port of Chabahar. Iran claimed significant damage to US ships. This information has not been officially confirmed.
US President Donald Trump stated that the war with Iran could be completely over within a week. He sees great chances for reaching an agreement with Tehran, but warned that if fighting continues, he will bomb Iran to the ground.
Meanwhile, Iran announced that passage through the Strait of Hormuz is now safe. Tehran explained this by introducing new procedures, but did not disclose the details.
