The non-profit organization United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) has handed the White House a list of 50 key Iranian military sites, amid rumors of potential US strikes on Iran, the Daily Mail reports.

According to UANI, the document includes the exact coordinates of the Tharallah headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which serves as the command center for the harsh suppression of protests and exercises operational control over police forces.

The list also identifies four key sub-headquarters overseeing different areas of the capital:

  • Quds Sub-Headquarters in charge of protest suppression in northern and northwestern Tehran;
  • Fath Sub-Headquarters in southwest Tehran;
  • Nasr Sub-Headquarters in northeast Tehran;
  • Ghadr Sub-Headquarters controlling southeast and central Tehran

Daily Mail reports that identifying these sites gives the US military insight into the Iranian authorities’ capabilities to coordinate protest crackdowns and targeted killings of demonstrators.

"The cycle of protests and suppression will continue unless the balance of power changes between unarmed Iranian protesters and the regime's fully armed and radicalized apparatus of repression," Kasra Aarabi, Director of IRGC Research at UANI, said.

The list also includes 23 regional IRGC-Basij bases — one in each of Tehran’s 22 municipal districts. The Basij is a volunteer paramilitary organization whose fighters, according to reports, are on the front lines of protest suppression.

The document further mentions operational units involved in killing protesters, including two key security brigades: the Aaleh-e Mohammad Security Brigade in northeast Tehran and the Al-Zahra Security Brigade in the southeast of the capital.

Protests in Iran

Mass protests against the regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei continue in Iran. The security forces are attempting to disperse demonstrators, sometimes resulting in bloodshed.

According to unconfirmed reports, up to 12,000 people have been killed during the protests.

Amid this unrest, US President Donald Trump has threatened the Iranian regime with a military response.

On January 14, the US began evacuating personnel from its airbase in Qatar. Washington took similar actions ahead of a planned strike on Iran last summer.
