US Envoy Keith Kellogg arrives in Kyiv for weeklong visit

On Monday, July 14, the special envoy of the United States of America for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg stated that he will arrive in Kyiv. His visit will last the whole week, according to Novyny Live.
"We will be in Kyiv on Monday. We’ll be there the whole week," Kellogg said during a conversation with a Novyny Live journalist.
US efforts to end the war in Ukraine
After Donald Trump's recent victory in the US presidential election, the White House returned to negotiations with the Russian Federation (RF) in an attempt to end the full-scale war in Ukraine through diplomatic means. The first meetings were held separately with Ukrainian and Russian representatives, but later Kyiv and Moscow also resumed direct dialogue.
The first round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place on May 16 on the territory of Istanbul. At that time, the parties agreed to exchange prisoners in a "1000 for 1000" format. The next meeting took place already on June 2.
It is also worth adding that since the beginning of his second term, Trump’s rhetoric toward Russia has begun to change significantly and become more aggressive. After the last phone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, the American leader expressed dissatisfaction with the Kremlin head’s actions.
Meanwhile, according to media reports, Trump has become more supportive of arming Ukraine than he was previously.
