"At 11:03 p.m. ET, March 1, three U.S. F-15E Strike Eagles flying in support of Operation Epic Fury went down over Kuwait due to an apparent friendly fire incident," the US Central Command reports.

The planes were likely destroyed by friendly fire.

Earlier, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense reported that several US military aircraft had suffered a plane crash in Kuwaiti airspace, with all crew members surviving.

The relevant authorities immediately launched search and rescue operations, and the crews have already been taken to hospitals.

F-15E

The F-15E Strike Eagle is an American two-seat multi-role fighter based on the F-15. It was developed in the 1980s to conduct air strikes against highly defended targets without the use of escort aircraft or electronic warfare.

Aircraft of this type were used in combat operations in Iraq, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Libya.

The main user of this type of aircraft is the US Air Force, but the F-15E has also been exported to Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Singapore. A total of about 500 aircraft of this type have been produced.

Military operation against Iran

On February 28, Israel and the US launched a series of strikes against Iran. According to President Donald Trump, the US has launched a military campaign to eliminate threats from the current regime.

According to media reports, Trump ordered a large-scale air strike on Iran after prolonged lobbying by Israel and Saudi Arabia. The strikes resulted in the elimination of Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.
