US and Russia will soon resume negotiations on ceasefire in Ukraine - US National Security Advisor

The US and Russia will resume ceasefire negotiations in Ukraine in the coming days. The meeting will take place in Saudi Arabia, stated US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, according to The Guardian.
Waltz said he agreed with his Russian counterpart, Yuri Ushakov, that the parties would hold further talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. According to him, the meeting will focus on "expanding the partial ceasefire" that US President Donald Trump secured from Russia.
"I spoke today with my Russian counterpart Yuri Ushakov about President Trump’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine. We agreed our technical teams would meet in Riyadh in the coming days to focus on implementing and expanding the partial ceasefire President Trump secured from Russia," he said.
Trump-Putin talks
Just yesterday, on March 18, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call. The main topic of discussion was ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.
During the talks, Putin assured Trump that he had allegedly ordered his military to halt strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure for 30 days.
However, despite this claim, a Russian drone struck a hospital in Sumy late in the evening on March 18.
