In addition, NATO confirmed that Alliance Secretary General Mark Rutte will arrive in Berlin to take part in the negotiations. The confirmation was issued at the last minute.

Thus, the participation of Ukraine’s key international partners in the Berlin negotiations has been officially confirmed.

Talks in Berlin

As a reminder, on December 14, negotiations began in the German capital between the Ukrainian delegation led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, the son-in-law of US President Jared Kushner.

The meeting lasted more than five hours. Witkoff stated that “a lot of progress was made.”

Today, December 15, the second round of talks between the Ukrainian and US delegations on the US peace plan to end the war began in Berlin.
