Russia is mass transferring its troops from the Berdiansk direction through Novoazovsk and Russia's Rostov region to the northern part of the Donetsk region, according to a statement by Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation.
"The transfer involves personnel only. Transport consists of trucks without tactical markings, moving in several columns. At least 40 trucks per day," the statement said.
Andriushchenko noted that the format of the movement of enemy troops is unusual and visually atypical.
Russian attacks on the Donetsk region
Russian forces recently attacked Sloviansk in the Donetsk region with FPV drones. As a result of the strike, two children aged 16 and 17 were injured.
On Monday, February 2, in the Donetsk region, Russians dropped a FAB-250 aerial bomb on a private house where an entire family was inside.
As a result of the attack, a 44-year-old man and his 23-year-old son were killed. Three other family members were injured — a 42-year-old woman, an 11-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl.
The following day, a DTEK (Ukraine's largest private energy company) repair crew in the Donetsk region came under enemy attack. As a result, one worker was injured and urgently hospitalized. There is no threat to his life.
Due to enemy attacks, a Nova Poshta (Ukraine's largest private postal and logistics company) branch in the Donetsk region was destroyed. None of the employees were injured, but 405 parcels with a total declared value of more than 1 million hryvnias were destroyed (approximately $26,000).
Several days ago, PrivatBank (Ukraine's largest state-owned bank) suspended operations at its branch in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. The reason was the security situation.
According to the bank, teams from Druzhkivka will continue working in Kramatorsk, located 20 kilometers away, where all necessary services will be available.
