Unrecognizable: Actor drops dozens of pounds for latest role

Hollywood actor Jonah Hill has surprised fans with an incredible transformation. For his new role in the film "Cut Off," he lost a significant amount of weight, dyed his hair, and appeared on set in a look that is hard to recognize, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Hill's new project is a comedy in which he is not only acting but also co-writing the script and directing.
His co-star is Kristen Wiig. Together, they play twins whose wealthy parents have cut off their financial support.
The parents are played by Bette Midler and Nathan Lane.
During filming in Los Angeles on October 6, Hill and Wiig were seen in bright, eccentric costumes.
The actor looked noticeably slimmer and more confident, clearly having undergone a physical transformation specifically for the role.

Hill's previous film was "You People" (2023), a satirical comedy with Eddie Murphy, Nia Long, and Lauren London.
He made his directorial debut in 2018 with "Mid90s" and in 2022 presented the documentary project "Stutz."
Alongside "Cut Off," Hill completed work on another film, "Outcome," starring Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, and Matt Bomer.
In previous interviews, the actor repeatedly spoke about his complicated relationship with his body.

Back in 2021, he addressed fans on Instagram, asking them not to comment on his appearance.
"I know you mean well, but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body. Good or bad, I want to politely let you know it's not helpful and doesn't feel good. Much respect," he wrote.
The following year, he published an open letter in which he admitted that he was refusing to participate in press tours and promotional campaigns due to years of struggling with anxiety and panic attacks.

"I have spent nearly 20 years experiencing anxiety attacks, which are exacerbated by media appearances and public facing events," the actor explained, calling this decision a measure of self-protection.
By the way, the premiere of "Cut Off" is scheduled for July 17, and judging by the first images, this new role could become one of the boldest in Jonah Hill's career.
