Unknown drones strike Sochi and Crimea; port possibly targeted

Since Saturday evening, unknown drones have been attacking Krasnodar Krai and Crimea; residents of Sochi and Adler are reporting powerful explosions in the sky; a port may have been hit. Strikes were also reported in Kerch, according to Russian media.

Attack on Krasnodar Krai
Since Saturday evening, unknown drones have attempted to strike Krasnodar Krai, with residents of Sochi and Adler reporting powerful explosions in the sky. In Sochi, a port may have been targeted. Air defence systems were reportedly active, and dozens of aerial targets were allegedly shot down, according to Russian media reports.
Explosions intensified after 22:00 on February 14 and continued into the night. Adler experienced the loudest impacts, with windows shaking and car alarms going off in some courtyards. Air raid sirens sounded intermittently, but there were no reports of casualties or damage so far.
A drone hazard regime was declared in the region, and temporary restrictions were imposed on Sochi Airport and Gelendzhik Airport operations.
Strikes in Kerch – bridge closed
Loud explosions were also reported in Kerch. The Kerch Bridge has been closed since 19:00 Saturday. Air defence was active, with dozens of aerial targets reportedly downed.
"On the Taman Peninsula, on the other side of the Kerch Strait – good strikes, report Kerch subscribers," one channel cited by Russian media noted. Another channel added, "Booms over Kerch, report subscribers."
Ukrainian drones recently struck the Ukhta oil refinery in northern Russia, which supplies petroleum products to enemy forces. The attack set a new record for the range of Ukrainian-made drones.
On the night of February 11, the Defense Forces struck the Volgograd oil refinery, as well as military targets on temporarily occupied territories.
