The US Department of State has updated its travel advisory for Ukraine. The risk level of travel to 9 regions has been reduced.

The recommendations were updated on November 14. In general, US citizens are advised not to travel to Ukraine due to Russia's full-scale invasion. The fourth level of risk has been determined.

However, for 9 regions, the risk level has been lowered to the third due to their distance from the war zone. These are Lutsk, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions.

However, US officials emphasize that the security situation can change quickly, so travelers are advised to be prepared for threats and to leave immediately.

Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova noted that this decision by the State Department opens up opportunities for business directly in Ukraine. She added that the embassy has been working hard on this.

US assistance to Ukraine

The United States is considered one of Ukraine's most important partners. Washington provides Ukraine with the largest military aid packages.

The Ukrainian army has received armored vehicles, tanks, artillery, MLRS, long-range missiles, ammunition, air defense systems, and other weapons from the United States.

According to media reports, the administration of current US President Joe Biden wants to send Ukraine the remaining $6 billion in military aid. This is planned to be done before Donald Trump returns to the presidency.

In addition, Biden will send a signal to Congress to approve additional funds for Ukraine for 2025.
