Unidentified drones strike oil depot in Sochi: fuel tank on fire

Unknown drones launched a massive attack on the Russian city of Sochi. As a result of the strikes, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Adler district, according to Russian social media channels.
The attack began around 2:15 AM local time. According to eyewitnesses, air defense systems were activated over Adler, Lazarevskoye, Dagomys, and Sirius.
As reported by the Russian channel Shot, in Sochi and Adler, residents and tourists took shelter in underground parking lots and bomb shelters.
Sirens were sounding across the cities, and loudspeakers warned of a drone threat in the Krasnodar region.
In total, over 20 explosions were heard in the area.
Attack consequences
According to Sochi Mayor Andrey Proshunin, the drone strike ignited a fuel tank at an oil depot in the Adler district.
The governor of Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, confirmed that debris from a drone struck a fuel container in the Adler district, causing it to catch fire.
All emergency services are working at the scene. Rescuers are extinguishing the fire. A total of 127 personnel and 35 units of equipment are involved in the response.
According to the Kuban emergency operations center, one fuel tank with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters is burning at the oil depot in the Adler district of Sochi.
In addition, drone debris damaged five garages on one of the streets, and firefighters are also extinguishing a shop that caught fire.
Preliminary reports indicate there are no casualties.
Drone attacks on Russia
On the night of August 3, unidentified combat drones attacked Sochi and the Adler district, as well as Voronezh and Kstovo in Nizhny Novgorod region.
The previous attack on Krasnodar Krai occurred on the night of July 24, when drones struck an oil depot near Sochi airport, sparking a fire at the impact site.
On the night of July 25, a drone attack disrupted operations at eight Russian airports, including Sochi airport.
