UN Security Council to meet ahead of 1,000th day of Russia's war on Ukraine
Tomorrow, on November 18, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha will visit the United States. An event will be held there to mark the 1,000th day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister will address a special high-level meeting of the UN Security Council amid the escalation of Russian aggression and terror.
This important event, called at Ukraine's initiative by the United Kingdom, which currently holds the presidency of the UN Security Council, will draw global attention to Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine.
"During the visit, the minister will also hold a series of bilateral meetings in New York to strengthen support for Ukraine," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.
As previously reported, a UN Security Council meeting dedicated to the 1,000 days of Russia's war against Ukraine will take place in November.
In addition, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has failed to achieve any of his strategic goals in the war in Ukraine after nearly 1,000 days of fighting.
