"An important and productive call with General Charles Brown, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff," Umerov wrote.

The discussion also addressed the action plan on the front line and outlined steps in bilateral cooperation.

Replacement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Yesterday, February 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

This happened after there were many rumors last week about Zelenskyy's decision to retire Zaluzhnyi.

The new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is Oleksandr Syrskyi, who previously served as Commander of the Ground Forces.
