This morning, three long-distance trains were temporarily stopped following reports of a bomb threat. Passengers were evacuated to a safe distance, according to Ukrzaliznytsia.

According to the railway company, on the morning of October 11, Ukrzaliznytsia received a report about the alleged mining of three long-distance trains:

  • No. 68/20 Kyiv – Warsaw
  • No. 733 Dnipro – Kyiv
  • No. 748 Ternopil – Kyiv

The trains were forced to stop, and passengers were disembarked and moved to a safe area.

"Explosives experts and law enforcement officers inspected the trains for explosives. No explosive materials were found. Train service has resumed, with delays of less than an hour," Ukrzaliznytsia reported.

Changes in Ukrzaliznytsia's operations

As a reminder, earlier it was reported that on October 10 and 11, some Kyiv City Express trains would not run between the Sviatoshyn and Pochaina stations due to maintenance work.

In addition, from October 6 to 22, train service on the Pochaina–Raiduzhnyi section has been temporarily suspended for bridge repairs.
