Ukraine's forces strike key Roscosmos facility and Savasleyka airfield

"TToday, there are new significant results from our deep strikes. In Russia’s Samara region, one of the key enterprises within Roscosmos – the Progress Center, which was involved, among other things, in electronics production – was hit," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, Flamingo missiles were used in the strikes. The distance from the Ukrainian border is about 900 kilometers.

The long-range strikes also reached Savasleyka airfield, where Russian missile carriers are based. These aircraft are used to launch missiles at Ukrainian cities and villages. The airfield is about 700 kilometers from Ukraine.

In addition, damage was recorded at an oil facility in the settlement of Ust-Luga. The distance is more than 800 kilometers from the border.

"Our plan of long-range sanctions against Russia for this war is being implemented, and it is important that Russia’s war potential be reduced. Peace is needed, and this must be evident in Russia – through concrete damage to specific facilities," the president said.

Strike on Progress

As previously reported, Fire Point co-owner Denis Shtilerman hinted today at the possible use of Flamingo missiles against Russia's Samara region by publishing a video of a missile launch.

Meanwhile, media reports said that Ukraine's Defense Forces struck Russian targets overnight. In Samara, the Progress Rocket and Space Center, which produces Soyuz rockets, may have been hit.

Powerful explosions were also reported in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region. Savasleyka airfield was the target.
