Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces destroy Russian complex Tor M-2
Unmanned forces destroyed the occupiers' air defense complex in the Zaporizhzhia direction. This refers to the Tor M-2 anti-aircraft missile system, according to the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"In the Zaporizhzhia direction, units of the SBS grouping conducted a joint operation to identify and destroy the enemy's Tor M-2 air defense system," the report states.
Specifically, the crew of the 14th Separate UAV Regiment detected and immobilised the target, while operators from the 412th OBBS 'NEMESIS' carried out the strike, resulting in its destruction.
Destruction of Russian air defense on the frontline in Ukraine
Destroying Russian air defense systems is a crucial operation. Such strikes by Ukrainian forces inflict millions in losses on the occupiers and open up airspace for further operations by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
It is worth noting that this is not the first such operation conducted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In late November, Ukraine’s Defense Forces targeted a Russian missile regiment in the Kursk region, specifically hitting the radar of the S-400 system.
Additionally, in late October, Ukraine's Defense Forces successfully struck the Buk-M3 air defense system. During the same operation in the Luhansk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed the enemy’s Buk-M2 system.
