Ukrainian forces attacked a regiment of Russian missile forces in the Kursk region. A S-400 radar was destroyed, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"On the night of November 24, the missile forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, carried out a coordinated strike on the positions of the anti-aircraft missile division of the 1490th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the 6th Russian Army in the Kursk region," the report states.

According to the General Staff, a successful hit was recorded on the radar station of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system.

"It should be noted that the mentioned Russian military unit was conducting combat operations in 'land-to-land' mode, targeting stationary ground-based objectives," the General Staff added.

Destruction of Russian air defense systems

This is not the first time the Ukrainian military has destroyed Russian air defense systems.

For example, recently, soldiers of the Unmanned Systems Forces helped to detect and destroy a Russian S-400 Triumph air defense system. This operation also took place in the Kursk region.

There have been numerous cases of destruction of Russian Buk missile systems. For example, in late October, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Buk-M3 air defense system. During this operation in the Luhansk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed a Buk-M2 system.
