The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the Russian Buk-M2 system in the Luhansk region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Thus, on the night of October 25, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, as part of the tasks of identifying and eliminating Russian air defense systems, destroyed the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system and destroyed the 9C36 target illumination and missile guidance radar station of Russia's Buk-M2.
“The targets were located in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region, several tens of kilometers from the frontline,” the Ukraine's General Staff notes.
Ukrainian military states that the work continues, as the weakening of Russian air defense makes other important Russian targets vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes both at the front and in the rear.
