On the Velykyi Burluk front, Ukrainian forces have pushed Russian troops back toward the border, with the occupiers losing control of two settlements over the past month, according to Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Grouping.
According to Trehubov, the situation on the Velykyi Burluk axis has improved significantly. Russian troops have effectively been forced back toward the state border, losing two settlements in the process.
“The Velykyi Burluk direction has returned to the format we saw about a year ago,” Trehubov said.
Situation near Kupiansk
On the Kupiansk axis, Russian forces continue putting pressure on the eastern bank and are attempting to infiltrate areas north of the city. However, those attempts have so far failed.
“They are currently ineffective and are not reaching the city, although unfortunately there are still a few ‘unfinished’ enemy soldiers inside the city, as well as several individuals who managed to infiltrate through a pipeline about a month ago,” the spokesperson explained.

Lyman front: Heavy pressure and false claims
Fighting continues on the Lyman front, especially near Borova, north of Lyman.
Trehubov said the Russian side is exaggerating its battlefield achievements in the area.
“There, the Russians are completely lying about their successes,” he stated.
Sumy region and Vovchansk: Offensive momentum lost
On the Vovchansk axis and in the border areas of the Sumy region, Russian forces continue applying pressure, but without the pace they previously had.
“They are no longer advancing further and are simply trying to consolidate positions in the border zone where they are currently located,” Trehubov summarized.
As previously reported by RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian forces maintain full control over Kupiansk despite repeated attempts by Russian troops to infiltrate the city in small groups. Most of those attempts are detected and neutralized.
Meanwhile, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War reported that Ukrainian forces have achieved their biggest successes since the Kursk operation. A series of counterattacks along different sectors of the front has produced significant results. According to ISW, Ukrainian medium-range strikes have substantially reduced Russia’s offensive capabilities.
