Ukrainian troops advancing in Pokrovsk amid ongoing fierce urban clashes

The situation in Pokrovsk remains difficult and dynamic.

"As a result of successful counteractions, Ukrainian troops have managed to improve their tactical position in several city blocks," the military said.

Troops are also expanding the number of assault groups in Pokrovsk, using diversified methods to move personnel.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces are working to block enemy logistics and eventually cut them off.

"We keep the enemy under fire control, and the number of Russians eliminated in Pokrovsk is gradually increasing. Over the past week, 85 Russians were destroyed in the city," the report said.

What is happening in Pokrovsk

Pokrovsk remains one of the most tense points on the front. Recently, the enemy managed to send in several sabotage groups, and the number of Russian forces was estimated at 200 until recently.

Notably, Putin announced several times over the past week that Pokrovsk was allegedly encircled and even ordered journalist access.

However, the Ukrainian side denies any encirclement. A comprehensive operation to push the enemy back began recently, including the deployment of a landing force by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR).

The operation also involves counteroffensive measures to unblock logistics. RBC-Ukraine sources confirmed today that the operation is ongoing and stabilization measures are being implemented.

Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said the comprehensive operation involves units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including drone operators and assault troops, as well as combined groups from the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and Defense Intelligence.

"We continue the liberation and clearing of territory in the Dobropillia bulge. We hold Pokrovsk. We hold Myrnohrad," Syrskyi said.
