The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Defense Ministry (HUR) is carrying out stabilization measures in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, sources told RBC-Ukraine.
Background
Earlier today, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed its forces had “repelled an attempted landing by Ukraine’s special operations troops” near Pokrovsk. According to the Russian side, all 11 soldiers who allegedly landed from a helicopter were “eliminated.”

A source said that Russian propaganda reports about the destruction of a Ukrainian reconnaissance unit and the “encirclement” of the city are yet another lie by the occupying forces.
According to RBC-Ukraine, fighters from Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate are conducting a counteroffensive operation near Pokrovsk.
Fighting for Pokrovsk
Pokrovsk remains one of the main targets of Russian forces, which have concentrated their primary strike group in the area.
Last week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian sabotage groups had managed to infiltrate the city.
Ukrainian military officials report that Russia has deployed around 11,000 troops in an attempt to encircle the Pokrovsk agglomeration.
Paratroopers from Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces also released a map showing the enemy’s plans to block Pokrovsk.
Meanwhile, Russian propaganda outlets began spreading false claims that Ukrainian troops were surrounded in the city — reports that have already been briefed to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
Both Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi and President Zelenskyy later denied these claims.
