Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, confirmed that a landing by Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR) took place in Pokrovsk. Other military units are also operating there, and an operation to push Russian forces out of the city is ongoing.
Syrskyi said he visited the front lines again and worked with corps and military units in the Pokrovsk direction, currently one of the most challenging areas. He received reports from local commanders on the situation and operational needs.
"In the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, our troops are holding back the pressure of a multi-thousand-strong enemy force, which continues attempts to infiltrate residential areas and cut our supply routes. However, there is no encirclement or blockade of the cities. We are doing everything to maintain logistics," he wrote.
A comprehensive operation is underway to destroy and push Russian forces out of Pokrovsk. Various units are involved, including Ukraine's Defense Intelligence.
"The main burden falls on the shoulders of Armed Forces units, including UAV operators and assault troops. In addition, by my order, combined groups from the Special Operations Forces, Military Police, Security Service of Ukraine, and other Defense Forces units, including Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, are operating in the city," Syrskyi wrote.
He emphasized that Russian forces in Pokrovsk are paying the highest price to achieve Putin's goal of occupying Ukraine's Donbas region.
"We continue the liberation and clearing of territory in the Dobropillia bulge. We hold Pokrovsk. We hold Myrnohrad," Syrskyi said.
He stressed that under current difficult conditions, effective coordination between units and synchronized execution of tasks is critically important.
"The defense of the agglomeration will be reinforced with additional units, weapons, and equipment, including drones and UAV systems. I thank Ukrainian soldiers, sergeants, and officers who are destroying the enemy and holding the line," he concluded.
Yesterday evening, the media reported that special forces and aviation from Ukraine's Defense Intelligence began a complex landing operation in Pokrovsk, personally overseen by Chief of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov.
Syrskyi has now published photos showing both himself and Budanov, confirming the intelligence chief's presence at the scene.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is conducting stabilization operations in Pokrovsk.
In the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that Russian troops had "stopped an attempt by Ukraine's Defense Intelligence special operations forces to land."
However, an RBC-Ukraine source said Russia's statements about destroying the landing force and encircling the city are false.
