Ukrainian scouts destroy Russian Buk-M3 in Zaporizhzhia

Special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) destroyed a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Russian SAM system is valued at up to $50 million, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense on Telegram.
According to the report, on September 14, HUR special forces located and successfully struck the Russian 9K317M Buk-M3 missile system.
Ukrainian troops carried out the strike on the enemy SAM system near the settlement of Oleksandrivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Russian Buk-M3 missile system is valued between $40 and $50 million.
What is known about the Buk-M3
The Buk-M3 is a Russian air defense system capable of intercepting aerial targets at distances of up to 70 km. The enemy uses this system to strike targets in the air, on land, and at sea.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia has lost 1,217 air defense systems since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
It is also worth noting that Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Russian Buk-M3 with its ammunition in June.
