Ukrainian paratroopers eliminating Russians trying to reach Sudzha via gas pipeline

Russian forces attempted to approach the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region via a gas pipeline branch. Ukrainian paratroopers detected them and are now neutralizing the threat, according to the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Yes, enemy sabotage and assault groups moved along the gas pipeline branch with the aim of establishing positions on the outskirts of Sudzha. The enemy forces were promptly detected by the aerial reconnaissance units of the Airborne Assault Forces," the command stated.
They added that missile strikes, artillery, and drones of various types were immediately launched against the enemy.
"Currently, Russian special forces are being located, blocked, and destroyed. Enemy's losses in the Sudzha area are very significant," the command further stated.
Situation in Russia's Kursk region
Notably, Ukrainian forces have held significant territory in the Kursk region for over six months. Although Russian troops have managed to reclaim some areas, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to control over 300 square kilometers, including Sudzha and its surroundings.
Recently, the British newspaper The Telegraph reported that the US decision to stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine has complicated the prediction of attacks. It has also made it more difficult to coordinate Ukrainian defense efforts in the Kursk region. The publication noted that the Ukrainian military may have to withdraw from the Kursk region. This would be done to prevent their forces from being surrounded.
However, according to sources in RBC-Ukraine, the Ukrainian command currently has no plans to withdraw troops from the Kursk region, although the situation there has indeed become more challenging. Informed sources from RBC-Ukraine noted that, on the contrary, measures are being taken to stabilize the situation, and counteractions are being planned.
