Ukrainian Nova Poshta opens branch in Germany's second largest city
Ukrainian postal operator company Nova Poshta has opened its first branch in Hamburg. By the end of the year, the company plans to open 17 more branches in Germany.
According to the press service of Nova Poshta, the branch will offer services for sending and receiving documents, parcels, and cargo up to 100 kg from Monday to Saturday. The delivery time to Ukraine is expected to be as short as 5 days.
Serhii Simonov, CEO of Nova Poshta in Germany, announced that the company will open an additional 17 branches in Munich, Frankfurt am Main, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Dresden, and other cities. Additionally, the company plans to deliver packages from Ukraine to automated mailboxes and pickup points in stores in the near future.
In June, Nova Poshta opened its first branch in Berlin. Germany has become the fifth EU country to have Nova Post branches after Poland, Lithuania, Czechia, and Romania. The delivery costs from Ukraine to Germany are as follows:
- Packages up to 1 kg - 250 UAH
- Packages up to 2 kg - 400 UAH
- Packages up to 10 kg - 600 UAH
- Packages up to 30 kg - 1200 UAH.
Hamburg is the second-largest city in the country (after Berlin), the seventh-largest in the European Union, and the largest non-capital city in the EU. Its population stands at 1.9 million people.
