As of 6:00 AM on October 2, a single Russian missile carrier is present in the Black Sea, capable of launching up to four missiles, according to the Ukrainian Navy.
There are currently no enemy ships in the Azov Sea.
However, two missile carriers have been detected in the Mediterranean Sea, with a potential maximum strike capacity of up to 24 missiles.
As of October 2, military sources reported that, in the interests of Russia, the following maritime movements occurred through the Kerch Strait within the past 24 hours:
- to the Black Sea - 1 vessel was recorded, with that vessel continuing towards the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - 4 vessels were noted, including 2 that were moving from the Bosporus Strait.
The Ukrainian Navy emphasized that Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) from 1974 by disabling automatic identification systems.
As reported yesterday by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine has developed a new ballistic missile, which has already undergone flight testing.
