Fighters of Ukrainian intelligence carried out a successful operation in occupied Berdyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region. A concentration of Russian National Guard personnel and enemy equipment was hit, the press service of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR) reports.
"According to the intelligence service, on November 19, 2025, at 22:20 Kyiv time, a group of Russian soldiers gathered under a propaganda billboard at the entrance to temporarily occupied Berdyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region. Their unhurried conversation was suddenly cut short by a powerful explosion.
It is noted that as a result of the successful operation by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the Resistance Movement, Russian forces suffered losses in personnel and equipment.
In particular, five members of the so-called Rosgvardia were eliminated, and four others sustained severe injuries. Two enemy pickups and a Tiger-type armored vehicle were also damaged.
''The blast in Berdyansk caused panic — ambulances and fire trucks rushed to the site where the Russian troops were destroyed,'' the statement reads.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized that every war crime against Ukraine has consequences and reminded Russian forces about the inevitability of retaliation.
Special operations in Berdyansk
On November 29, two explosions also occurred in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk district of the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian intelligence operatives eliminated Kadyrovites (Chechen paramilitary fighters loyal to Ramzan Kadyrov) who had organized an illegal fuel-smuggling operation.
Earlier, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine confirmed that the organizer of a torture chamber had been eliminated in Berdyansk. Around 9:40, a Ford Kuga belonging to Yevhen Ananievskyi exploded in the city.
Also in Berdyansk, the traitor Mykhailo Hrytsai — who tortured Ukrainian prisoners of war and appropriated state property — was shot dead.
According to the intelligence service, he was the so-called deputy mayor for infrastructure, housing, and communal services, as well as the head of the Russian administration's fuel-energy complex.
