Ukrainian intelligence confirms attack on 2 Russian Su-57 jets, reveals damage extent
A drone attack on Russia on Saturday, June 8, hit two of the latest Su-57 multi-purpose aircraft, according to Andrii Yusov, according to a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
"Yes, as for the confirmation of the damage, we can now say that one Su-57 has significant damage, the other has lighter damage. It will likely be possible to restore it in a shorter period," Yusov says.
He also reminds that this was the first time Su-57s were hit. They are Russia's newest fighters and the pride of the country's Air Force.
Strike on Russian Su-57
On June 9, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported that a Russian Su-57 aircraft was struck at the Akhtubinsk airfield.
Later, a representative of the DIU, Andrii Yusov, admitted that not one Su-57 was hit, but two at once. There was also information about casualties among the Russian personnel.
