In the coming months, the situation on the front line will be challenging. Ukrainian defenders continue to withstand the onslaught of the Russians, stated the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov.

He noted that military actions are taking place along the entire front line, but "the eastern direction, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions stand out as a separate front." There, the attempts of Russian advances are particularly active.

"The coming months will be difficult. We are now witnessing firsthand how our defenders repel further attacks, including in the east, from the Russian occupiers. And the situation in Chasiv Yar and in other areas - it's all visible in real-time," emphasized Yusov.

Russian offensive

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had stated that the Russian troops might be preparing for a new major offensive. It is likely to begin in May or June.

Following this, the head of the state revealed that Russia plans to mobilize an additional 300,000 soldiers. They aim to do this by June 1st.

It is worth mentioning that on March 31st, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree on spring conscription, within which they plan to recruit 150,000 individuals.
