Ukrainian intelligence chief comments on frontline situation in next months
The next six months at the front in Ukraine "will be interesting". The war for Ukraine will end with the "return of what was lost," according to the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov.
"The next six months will be interesting," he says, as the Russian offensive on the front line will end during this period.
According to journalists, the head of the DIU was firm in his belief in Ukraine's complete victory over Russia, despite public concern about the fatigue of Ukrainian troops, Russia's superiority in domestic military production, and the lack of movement to the front line.
According to Budanov, the war will end in only one way.
“The establishment of justice - This is how it will end,” he says, “With the return of what was lost.”
Budanov on Russia-Ukraine war
Just recently, Budanov voiced a restrained forecast for the success of the Armed Forces in 2024, saying that "our success will be greater than theirs."
Earlier, Kyrylo Budanov said that Russia could wage war against Ukraine until 2026 at the latest. The aggressor country will have enough human resources for a long time, but there will be problems with the economy and technology.
Moreover, according to the intelligence officer, even after Ukraine wins the war, Russia will want revenge. Ukraine has at least 10 years to prepare, which is how long the Kremlin needs to recover militarily.
Earlier, Ukrainian intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov predicted that the war would end before the death of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, who, according to him, is seriously ill.
In addition, earlier in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, he expressed the opinion that the war in Ukraine will end in 2023 with the return to the 1991 borders. At the same time, he said, "It will not stop with the victory, we will face a rather difficult stage."
