Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center gives forecast for August 15
Ukraine is expecting hot weather on August 15th. As a result, in several regions, a high level of fire danger has been warned due to this, according to the forecast by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (Ukrgidromettsentr).
In Ukraine, on Tuesday, there will be some light cloud cover, and no precipitation is expected.
The nighttime temperatures are expected to be around 14-19°C, reaching up to 23°C in the southern part. During the day, meteorologists predict temperatures of 28-33°C. In the Carpathian Mountains, nighttime temperatures will range from 9-14°C, and daytime temperatures will be between 22-27°C.
The wind will be easterly to northeasterly, with a speed of 3-8 m/s.
Weather in Kyiv
In the capital city and the surrounding region, there will be some light cloud cover and no precipitation.
Nighttime temperatures in Kyiv are expected to range from 17-19°C, while daytime temperatures will reach 31-33°C. In the region, nighttime temperatures will be around 14-19°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 28-33°C.
The wind will be northeasterly, with a speed of 3-8 m/s.
An extreme level of fire danger
At the same time, meteorologists warn of an extreme level of fire danger:
- August 14-17 - in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy regions, and in Crimea,
- August 16-17 - in Ternopil and Rivne regions,
- August 17 - in Khmelnytskyi and Volyn regions.
Restrictions due to heat
Temporary restrictions have been imposed on the movement of heavy vehicles in Kyiv due to the heat. This applies to both entry into the capital and movement within the city.
