Ukrainian General Staff shares striking footage from Pokrovsk battles

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released footage of combat operations in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, showing Ukrainian soldiers striking Russian forces and reclaiming previously lost positions, the General Staff reported.
It is noted that assault operations in the Pokrovsk urban agglomeration were carried out by fighters of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The footage shows the use of tracked vehicles in logistics, as well as the elimination of Russian soldiers.
Fighting for Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad
In recent weeks, the Pokrovsk direction has remained the epicenter of fighting in the Donetsk region. Russian forces are trying to encircle the city of Pokrovsk from several directions and are deploying additional troops for this purpose.
The Russians used unfavorable weather conditions, including dense fog, to infiltrate Pokrovsk. Currently, more than 300 troops are inside the city.
Major Andrii Kovaliov, spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told RBC-Ukraine that Ukrainian forces are confidently holding their positions and destroying Russian troops on the approaches to Myrnohrad and within the urban area of Pokrovsk.
In recent days, Russian forces carried out a massive assault on Pokrovsk along the Selidove–Pokrovsk highway using light vehicles. The assault achieved partial success.
Earlier, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line in the defense of Pokrovsk. There is currently no indication that Russian forces will take control of the city or encircle the Ukrainian Defense Forces operationally.
According to him, the stabilization of the situation in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad operation area depends on the level of coordination and cohesion of the military command bodies, units, and subunits involved in performing combat missions.
