Russian military continues to carry out unsuccessful offensives on three fronts. Meanwhile, Defense Forces are holding back the invaders' advance on two other fronts, according to the statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
Enemy attacks
In the last 24 hours, Russian military forces have launched six missile strikes and conducted 36 airstrikes from aviation units. Additionally, they initiated 32 instances of shelling, employing multiple launch rocket systems, targeting both military positions and civilian areas.
Tragically, these actions by Russian forces have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries, including among children. The strikes have caused significant damage to residential structures and other essential civilian infrastructure.
Alarmingly, the potential for further missile and aviation strikes throughout Ukraine's entire territory continues to pose a grave concern.
The situation on the fronts
During the day, 33 military clashes took place.
In the Volyn and Polissia direction, the operational landscape exhibits minimal shifts.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske direction, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of Huriyiv Kozachok, Kharkiv region. They carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 15 settlements, including Klyusy in Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Yastrubine, Vodolahi, Myropilske in Sumy region; and Udy, Strilecha, Okhrimivka in Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the adversary launched unsuccessful offensive operations in areas northeast of Synkivka, north of Kyslivka, and southeast of Andriivka in the Kharkiv region. They executed aerial strikes in the vicinity of Kyslivka and Pershotravneve within the Kharkiv region. Settlements including Kupiansk, Masyutivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Serebrianka, Siverska, Spirne, and Vesele in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, as well as Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spirne in the Donetsk region, experienced enemy artillery shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy engaged in unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Klishchiivka and Byla Hora within the Donetsk region. An aviation strike was carried out in the Blahodatne vicinity. Over 10 populated areas were affected by hostile artillery bombardments, including Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, and Pivnichne within the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, amidst dense enemy aviation and artillery fire, Ukrainian defenders persist in halting the advance of Russian forces in the Avdiivka area. An aviation strike was inflicted in the Avdiivka vicinity. More than 10 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Toneinke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, and Karlivka within the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, defensive forces continue to restrain the advance of Russian troops in the vicinity of Maryinka city, Donetsk region. The adversary executed an aviation strike in the Krasnohorivka area. Artillery shelling impacted more than 10 populated areas, including Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Yelyzavetivka within the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy undertook unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground in the Urzhainyi area of the Donetsk region. Artillery shelling affected over 10 populated areas, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenska, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Rivnopil within the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy subjected more than 20 populated areas to artillery shelling, including Novodarivka, Temirivka, Poltavka, Chervone, Verkhnia Tersa, Novoandriivka in Zaporizhzhia region, and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region.
In the Kherson direction, over 20 populated areas experienced enemy artillery bombardments, including Zolota Balka, Zmiivka, Berislav, Kozatske, Tiahinka, Poniativka in Kherson region, and Kutsurub, Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.
Offensive operations
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, achieving partial success in the Robotyne area of the Zaporizhzhia region. They are consolidating their positions on the attained lines, and implementing counter-battery measures.
Enemy losses
Throughout the day, defensive aircraft executed a total of 10 precision strikes targeting regions with concentrated enemy personnel, weaponry, and military hardware.
Ukrainian rocket and artillery divisions effectively engaged an anti-aircraft missile system and an artillery emplacement, both strategically positioned and subjected to accurate fire during the day's operations.
