Statements from the US, including those concerning Ukraine, do not indicate fundamental changes in US foreign policy, states Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

In particular, during the conversation, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for perceiving news from the US correctly, thoughtfully, critically, and calmly. He emphasized that one post does not determine fundamental matters.

"Because one statement or one Twitter post cannot, conditionally speaking, determine the fundamental tracks of foreign policy. But certainly, attention must be paid to this," said Sybiha.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister emphasized that strong diplomacy is now capable of bringing peace closer to our country. He also said that Ukraine has partners over the years with whom it has initiated a track of cooperation.

"Ukraine is not alone. This war has taught us, and this war has opened new layers of interaction with our partners for us. And we truly have real allies and partners today on the international arena, with whom we have already initiated a long-term track of cooperation," the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded.

Concerning news from the US

Information appeared in recent days that the US had suspended military aid supplies to Ukraine. This was subsequently officially confirmed by representatives of the American government.

However, on July 7, US President Donald Trump announced that America would provide Ukraine with defensive weapons for protection as part of military aid.

Furthermore, CNN reported that members of the US national security team are planning to discuss the issue of weapons supplies to Ukraine today, July 8 (still Tuesday in the US). In particular, this concerns missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
