Ukrainian servicemen successfully neutralized several drones in Danish airspace during a combat experience exchange as part of a visit by the Ukrainian delegation, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Our specialists in countering strike drones launched a Sting drone, which accurately destroyed the Danish Banshee," the General Staff noted.

It is reported that representatives of various European countries were invited to the demonstration of the drone shootdown. They had the opportunity to witness firsthand the effectiveness of Ukrainian solutions in countering aerial threats.

The shootdown was recorded on video, and after the demonstration, Ukrainian drone pilots received dozens of questions from their foreign colleagues.

What came before

It was previously reported that joint exercises known as Wings of Defense had begun in Denmark, involving Ukrainian soldiers together with their Danish counterparts. They are practicing tasks related to countering strike drones.

The exercises began after recent weeks saw a wave of drone incursions in Denmark, Poland, and Romania, as well as violations of Estonian airspace by Russian fighter jets.

On September 27, Denmark confirmed that unknown drones had been spotted overnight over several facilities belonging to the Ministry of Defense. Additionally, unidentified UAVs were observed flying over airports in Aalborg, Esbjerg, Sønderborg, and the Skrydstrup Air Base on September 25.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian tankers could be used to launch and control drones over European cities. However, Danish intelligence services have not yet confirmed Russia’s involvement in the incidents in Denmark.
