Drones leave airspace over Aalborg airport: police statement

Unidentified drones spotted in Denmark are no longer in the airspace over Aalborg Airport, according to the North Jutland police on social media X.
"Unidentified drones observed in North Jutland are no longer in the airspace over Aalborg Airport," the North Jutland police said in a statement.
An investigation has been launched, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
There have been no reports about drones near three other Danish airports, in Esbjerg, Sønderborg, and Skrydstrup, where F-16 and F-35 fighter jets are based.
Drones over Aalborg
The first sightings of unidentified drones above Aalborg Airport appeared around midnight.
An airport spokesperson confirmed that the airport was closed due to drones in its airspace but declined to specify the number involved.
As a result, four flights were rescheduled, including two SAS planes, one Norwegian, and one KLM.
Drones over Copenhagen
Just two days earlier, on the evening of September 22, several unidentified drones violated Danish airspace, forcing Copenhagen Airport to shut down operations for nearly four hours.
The following morning, the drones left the area on their own, and operations resumed.
Danish police later reported that the drones were controlled by a "competent operator."
