Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the largest Russian assault on the Oleksandrivka direction since the start of the year. The situation has been fully stabilized, with the enemy suffering significant losses in both equipment and personnel, according to the 37th Separate Marine Brigade.

Massive attack details

Russian forces attempted a large-scale offensive in the brigade's operational area on March 28. The assault involved heavy armored vehicles and a significant number of infantry.

According to military sources, this was the most powerful attack along this section of the front in recent months.

"Thanks to the coordinated actions of our units, as of 2:00 PM, the situation has been fully stabilized, and all enemy assault attempts have been halted," the brigade emphasized.

Enemy losses

As a result of the confrontation, Ukrainian defense forces inflicted significant losses on the enemy.

Specifically, irrecoverable personnel losses totaled 27, with one more Russian soldier wounded.

"Just in the first half of the current day, enemy personnel and equipment losses exceeded the combined totals of the previous three days of fighting," the unit noted.

Also, one tank, two ATVs, and two motorcycles of the Russian troops were destroyed or damaged.

Oleksandrivka front

The Oleksandrivka direction remains an intense combat area. Earlier, Ukrainian forces launched a counteroffensive here to halt the Russians' advance toward the Dnipropetrovsk region.

During successful operations along this section of the front, Ukrainian troops managed to liberate nine settlements, while three more were completely cleared of Russian troops. The enemy suffered heavy losses, reportedly numbering in the thousands.

Previously, during March 17–20, Russia attempted a large-scale offensive, carrying out over 600 assaults in four days. However, as Ukraine's Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi noted, these attempts ended in catastrophic losses for the Russians.
