The Russian army attempted to storm the positions of Ukrainian forces in the Siversk direction, deploying a large amount of equipment and personnel, according to the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group.

According to Ukrainian military reports, the Russian forces launched an assault using armored vehicles, buggies, quad bikes, and cars.

"The Siversk direction. A new offensive involving armored vehicles was stopped by Ukraine’s Defense Forces, which are part of the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group," the statement said.

As a result of the battle, Russian forces suffered the following losses:

  • 14 BMPs – destroyed
  • 16 AFVs – damaged
  • 1 tank – destroyed, 2 tanks – damaged
  • 3 civilian vehicles – destroyed
  • 3 buggies – destroyed
  • 2 quad bikes – destroyed

Additionally, 159 enemy personnel were eliminated.

Russian losses

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck nine areas of personnel and equipment concentration, 12 artillery systems, two command posts, a UAV control center, and one other key target of the Russian invaders.

In total, Russian forces lost 1,300 personnel in the past day. Ukrainian troops also destroyed 11 tanks, 23 armored fighting vehicles, 75 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense system, 198 operational-tactical UAVs, one missile, 134 vehicles, and two units of special equipment.
