Ukrainian forces raise flag deep inside Russian lines in Kherson

Ukrainian forces have raised the national flag in a Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region, states the Southern Defense Forces.
According to the statement, a drone unit of the 39th Separate Reconnaissance Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps raised the flag on territory under temporary occupation.
“This is not just a flag, it is a symbol of our resilience and determination. It flies over our land, because it was, is, and always will be Ukrainian,” read the caption to a video released by the unit.
Earlier, Ukrainian troops marked National Flag Day by raising banners over the settlements of Hornal and Guyevo in the Sudzha district of Russia’s Kursk region, historically part of Ukrainian Slobozhanshchyna.
Separately, soldiers from the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade raised the first Ukrainian flag on the Russian-occupied Kinburn Spit.
