Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, remains a hotspot of heavy fighting as Russian forces try to break into the city. Since morning, Ukrainian positions have repelled 52 attacks, with Russian units pushed back building-by-building, reports Operational Command East of the Ground Forces of Ukraine.

Overall, in the area under its responsibility, Ukrainian forces have repelled 80 Russian assaults since morning, 52 of them in the Pokrovsk direction. In the city, strike-and-search operations are ongoing, and Russian troops attempting to advance into the northern outskirts are being detected and destroyed.

"Ukrainian forces are operating directly in the city. They detect and eliminate the enemy. Our assault groups clear buildings occupied by invaders one by one. Special attention is given to detecting and destroying enemy UAV crews," the post says.

Outside Pokrovsk, Russian troops are attempting to attack Ukrainian positions near Myrnohrad but have made no gains.

"Defense force units confidently hold their positions and do not allow the enemy to secure the outskirts. Ukrainian units face logistical challenges, but supplies are maintained at the necessary level," the Operational Command East noted.

In the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces, Ukrainian troops continue strike-and-search operations. They are blocking Russian logistics and disrupting reinforcements.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces acknowledge that the situation in Pokrovsk remains difficult. Russian forces are already in the city, though they are being actively pushed out. They have entered urban areas, aiming to create conditions for the full encirclement of Ukrainian forces.
