Ukrainian forces pushed Russian occupiers north of the village of Ambarne, near the state border in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region, according to the analytical platform DeepState.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have regained control near Ambarne," the statement reads.

According to Deep State, Ukrainian troops advanced more than 3 km toward the state border and regained control of the forest area north of the village of Ambarne in the Velykyi Burluk community in the Kupiansk district.

Units of the 129th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade carried out a successful operation to eliminate the Russian troops in the forests near Ambarne and clear the area.

Ukrainian defenders also managed to halt the Russian advance from the village of Milove toward the village of Khatnie in the Ambarne area.

Fighting in Kharkiv region

Recently, Russian troops have stepped up their activities in the Kharkiv region.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Russian troops attempted to breach the state border near the village of Dihtiarne, but Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the attack and eliminated over 20 Russian soldiers.

In addition, Russia has attempted to expand the combat zone toward the neighboring settlements of Krugle and Bugruvatka.

According to Viktor Trehubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group, Russian troops continue to search for weak spots in the defense. They are attempting to breach the border in the Kharkiv region. Fighting is ongoing.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the South Slobozhanskyi sector over the past 24 hours, Russia twice attempted to break through Ukrainian defenders’ defensive lines in the direction of Starytsia and Vovchansk.
