Ukrainian forces liberate village Sichneve in Dnipropetrovsk region and capture Russian troops

Ukrainian soldiers carried out a successful assault operation in the village of Sichneve in the Dnipropetrovsk region, eliminating about 50 Russian soldiers and capturing 8 more, according to the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The brigade showed footage of the successful assault actions of Ukrainian soldiers during the liberation of the village of Sichneve in the Dnipropetrovsk region from the invaders. The video was published by the fighters of the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade.
"In this footage – it's not a movie, but real combat work. These are successful assault actions in the village of Sichneve carried out by the fighters of the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade," the statement says.
Fighters of the Shkval Battalion eliminated 50 Russian troops, and another eight were taken prisoner.
"This operation is proof that we are not standing still. We are not only holding the defense but also confidently moving forward, liberating our territories and relentlessly destroying every pest that crawls onto our land," the brigade noted.
Earlier, analysts from the DeepState project reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had carried out a clearance operation in Sichneve, as well as in Sosnivka, Khoroshe, and Novoselivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Stabilization measures are currently ongoing in the liberated territories.
What is known about Sichneve
The village of Sichneve (formerly Yanvarske) is located in the Velykomykhailivska community of the Pokrovsk district in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine.
It lies in the steppe zone, approximately 120 kilometers from Dnipro and about 100 kilometers from Zaporizhzhia. The population consists of approximately one hundred residents. In September 2024, the village was renamed as part of the de-Russification process.
Fighting in the Dnipropetrovsk region
The Russians had previously claimed the alleged capture of the village of Kalynivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region. However, this information does not correspond to reality.

Situation on the frontline
According to the General Staff, there were 193 combat engagements on the frontline over the past day. Most of the fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction; however, the enemy also intensified attacks in the Toretsk and Novopavlivka directions.
