Ukrainian forces hit 58 targets inside Russia in May

Ukrainian forces attacked 58 targets on Russian territory in May, including facilities involved in the production of explosives and drones, according to a statement by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
The Commander-in-Chief held a meeting to review the results of the Armed Forces’ operations in May. Throughout the month, Ukrainian defenders continued to destroy the enemy’s defense capabilities deep behind the front lines.
In May, using DeepStrike means, strikes were carried out on 58 targets in Russia. Military facilities were hit, and the capabilities of the aggressor's defense industry were undermined. Among the targets were production facilities for explosives and strike UAVs.
As Syrskyi noted, artillery, aviation, and drone systems are actively operating on the front line. According to him, in May alone, Russian forces lost over 34,000 troops.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russia had lost more than 190,000 personnel in the war against Ukraine over the first five months of 2025.
Strikes on factories in Russia
On the night of May 28, SSU drones attacked a Russian strategic enterprise involved in the production of cruise missiles. The target was the Raduga plant, located in Dubna, 130 kilometers north of Moscow.
Another strike in Dubna hit the Kronstadt facility, which manufactures UAVs such as Orion, Inokhodets, Molniya, Grom, Termit, Helios, and Sirius, as well as ground control stations.
Additionally, during the night of May 28, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck Angstrem JSC in the Moscow region. The company develops and produces microelectronics for the Russian defense industry.
