Ukrainian defense forces on the southern front continue to advance gradually, engaging in battles to liberate Ukrainian settlements, according to the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Syrskyi visited the Southern Operational Zone, where active combat operations are currently underway.
The commander-in-chief met with the leadership of the offensive grouping, as well as brigade, regiment, and battalion commanders conducting offensive operations. He received briefings on the results of previous missions, the current situation, and actions in designated sectors.
"Ukrainian defense forces hold their assigned positions, destroy the enemy, gradually advance, and fight to liberate settlements," Syrskyi said.
On site, the commander-in-chief issued orders to address problem areas and discussed options and prospects for further actions.
"Our priorities are to liberate Ukrainian territory from occupiers and preserve the lives of our soldiers. At the same time, operational security is crucial for a successful mission," Syrskyi added.
Russia mobilizes forces on the front: where occupiers are preparing a spring offensive
In recent weeks, Russian forces have intensified offensive operations in certain areas of the front.
A particularly noticeable increase in attacks has been recorded in the Zaporizhzhia direction, where the intensity of assaults in some sectors has exceeded that of one of the most tense areas of the front — the Pokrovsk region.
According to DeepState, the Russian command is also regrouping forces and replenishing reserves. Analysts believe these actions may be related to changing weather conditions and the emergence of dense vegetation, which could affect combat tactics on the front line.
