Ukrainian forces disrupt Russian assault in Pokrovsk direction, destroy tank and crew with Javelin and drone

Ukrainian soldiers on the Eastern front halted a Russian army assault using Javelin missiles. They then finished off the enemy's equipment with a drone, reports the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops.
Russian forces launched an assault on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the defense sector of one of the units on the Pokrovsk direction. An enemy tank tried to breach the Ukrainian defense fortifications, but soldiers from the rifle battalion disrupted its plans.
"The first strike was a shot from a Javelin anti-tank missile system aimed at the turret of the enemy armored vehicle. Then, the heavy bomber Vampire took over. The tank and its crew were finished off," the group of forces explained.
The successful work of Ukrainian shooters was shown in a video by the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade.
"The enemy continues their assault attempts but receives a worthy and devastating response every time. This will be the case with each of them!" emphasized the group of forces.
What is known about Javelin
The Javelin is a portable anti-tank guided missile system (ATGM) produced by American companies Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
The Javelin is designed to target armored vehicles, ground fortifications, and low-flying, fast-moving aerial targets such as helicopters or UAVs.
What is known about the Vampire drone
The Vampire UAV is of Ukrainian manufacture. Its development began in the summer of 2022, following Russia's full-scale invasion.
The drone is equipped with specialized bombs, mortars, anti-tank, and anti-personnel mines. It is also actively used for remote mining and transporting essential supplies.
Ukrainian successes on the Pokrovsk direction
The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian T-72 Ural tank in the Pokrovsk direction. The strike was carried out using a Nemesis drone, which rendered the tank inoperable.
In addition, Ukrainian artillery effectively targeted Russian positions, delivering precise strikes that destroyed enemy Msta-B and D-30 howitzers, ammunition depots, and personnel.
